Despite the fact that coyotes are nocturnal, it’s not too unusual to see them during the day. The Comal County Sheriff’s Office in New Braunfels, Texas recently received many 911 calls about coyote sightings, and they responded by issuing a hilarious PSA to let the community know when they need to really worry about a coyote.

The PSA explains that merely seeing a coyote is not reason enough to call the police. However, it then goes on to list some disturbing behavior that people should watch out for coyotes exhibiting. These behaviors include:

  • Coyote carrying a box marked “ACME”
  • Coyote dropping an anvil from a hot air balloon
  • Coyote posting signs such as “detour” or “free bird seed”
  • Coyote in possession of a giant magnet
  • Coyote in possession of a catapult
  • Coyote detonating explosive/TNT
  • Coyote launching self with giant crossbow

It’s nice to see police officers getting to have fun with their job and showcase their sense of humor! Social media users everywhere have found the PSA to be hilarious.

“Love the sense of humor. Meep-Meep,” one user wrote, with another adding, “I saw one fall off a cliff and the only thing that was left was a big puff of smoke. beep beep.”

“Have their been any sightings of them chasing small birds making a noise like beep beep,” a third user wrote. A fourth posted, “Love you guys and thanks for having a sense of humor.”
