In today’s world, online scammers are all over the place. Since much of today’s business is conducted through laptops, iPads, and smartphones, it’s nearly impossible not to find yourself being targeted by an online scammer.

However, when an online scammer targets an internet troll, hilarity can often ensue!

Tom Sheerin, a nursing assistant at the Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool, England, is one of these trolls. Last month, he received an unsolicited message via Facebook Messenger from a man who called himself Michael Austin. The man claimed that the CEO of Facebook had asked him to contact Sheerin about “important information” regarding his account.

That’s when things took an interesting turn. Sheerin said that he decided to have “a little fun.”

“Decided to have a little fun with someone trying to scam me on facebook, kept him busy for about two hours,” he said.

The scammer thought he’d found the perfect victim, so he told Sheerin that he had been randomly selected to win $1.2 million bucks, along with a brand new Jeep! Austin added that all Sheerin had to do to collect his prize is follow all of his “rules and regulations” without question.

He went so far as to send Sheerin a photo of a sketchy box full of cash.

Austin also sent Sheerin a photo of Facebook’s “official” letter from the CEO, stating that this particular scam is not, well…a scam!

Going full troll, Sheerin said that he would be interested in receiving his prize money, but he’s got his hookers to think about…and their dental bills. He asked Austin if FedEx would take these issues into consideration on delivery.

The scammer probably should have known that he was being trolled at this point, but he didn’t catch on at all! Instead, he did not want to lose his own connection to the prostitutes!

Just when it seems like Austin is finally getting suspicious, he appears to decide that he has found the dumbest victim in the world.

Austin clearly thinks easy money is on the way for him!

As soon as Sheerin suggests that he might reach out to a third party, the scammer implies that the “winnings” will be rescinded. Sheerin responds by saying that he really needs the money for an operation on his piles, and he’s willing to pay the delivery fee with his Tesco Clubcard!

Getting frustrated, Austin says “no” and adds that the delivery fee happens to be $500 cash. Sheerin hilariously agrees to this amount, but wants to know if £5.00 notes would be alright. He then says that the money is in fives because it’s his birthday money from his multiple grandmas!

Sheerin goes on to say that he will head over to Western Union to wire the money in his Dolorean, but he has to pick up his friend Biff on the way!

This caused Austin to panic, telling Sheerin that if he tells anyone about this, his winnings will be rescinded. After saying he won’t tell, Sheerin buys time by telling him he got turned around and wanted to grab a beer along the way.

Since Austin had repeatedly told Sheerin not to tell anyone, you can imagine how mad he was when he said he had informed his local newspaper!

To get Austin back, Sheerin finally agrees to pay…in Vietnamese Dong!

When he finds out that Sheerin has less than $30 bucks to his name, the scammer actually prompted him to request a loan. Sheerin responded by saying that Austin would be the perfect cosigner. Unsurprisingly, the scammer shuts this down, and tells him to borrow money from Biff!

In the end, Sheerin got his revenge by completely wasting this scammer’s time! SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this as well!
