Queen Elizabeth is currently in mourning after her beloved personal doctor was killed in a tragic accident.

Dr. Peter Fisher, 67, spent 15 years working as a homeopathic physician to the Queen in the royal medical household. Sadly, he was killed earlier this month when he was hit by a truck as he cycled to work in High Holborn, London. Royal aides said that the Queen was immediately informed of his death.

The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) said that Fisher was “a highly regarded colleague and friend.”

“He was much respected as a good doctor who saw homeopathy as complementary to medical care,” said Sir Marcus Setchell, the Queen’s former surgeon-gynaecologist. “We are all shocked by his tragic loss.”

Dr Tariq Khan, consultant podiatrist at the Royal Hospital of Integrated Medicine, said that Fisher’s death was a “shock.”

“Anyone who was anyone came to see Peter. He was known worldwide,” Khan said. “He was just a great doctor, a great loss. He always cycled in around 9.30am. He was always a keen cyclist, he always would be on his bike coming in. It was a shock, was completely out of the blue.”

Khan explained that Fisher was turning right out of a cycle lane on to High Holborn when he was hit by the truck.

“My understanding was that he was coming that way and the lorry hit him at the junction,” Khan said. “He had a clinic yesterday morning.”

Fisher was declared dead at the scene of the accident.

“Peter was a highly regarded colleague and friend of many at the RLHIM, where he worked for more than 35 years,” said Dr. Gill Gaskin, medical director at University College London Hospital. “He was an international figure in homeopathy who was committed to holistic and compassionate care for his patients. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and patients alike. Our deepest sympathies go out to Peter’s family, friends and loved ones at this difficult time.”

Please keep Fisher’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time!
