Prince Louis was christened earlier this summer, and official photos of the event were snapped by photographer Matt Holyoak. However, photos that were meant to be just for the family’s personal use were taken by photographer Matt Porteous, and one of the most adorable images he captured showed Louis giggling.

Though the photo was meant to be just for the family, the image was so cute that Prince William and Kate Middleton just had to share it with the public!

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released an additional photograph taken following the christening of Prince Louis,” Kensington Palace tweeted as it shared the image. “The Duke and Duchess hope that everyone enjoys this lovely photograph of Prince Louis as much as they do.”

Porteous took to Instagram to thank all those who have praised the photo.

“Overwhelmed by the love and support, an image that has touched so many hearts, thank you for all the comments and support,” he wrote. “It is a true honour to capture such a beautiful moment in time.”

Internet users can’t get enough of the photo!

“Just adorable. The perfect mother and child photo that anyone would wish for on such an occasion,” one user wrote.

“OMG that is the cutest photograph.. Prince Louis is adorable. Doesn’t Catherine look glowing,” another added.

“Aw he is gorgeous. All their children are,” a third wrote. “But what a well captured picture of love and happiness.”
