Orphanages in China are full of abandoned babies and children just waiting for a family to love them. While the workers try to make the shelters as best as they can, the conditions still aren’t the best.

Dawson and Hannah grew up in the same orphanage and they considered themselves brother and sister. Their bond was unbreakable. They even shared the same foster mom, but the day came when they were torn apart.

Hannah had found her forever home, but sadly, she and Dawson would no longer be able to spend their days together. Dawson was to remain in China while Hannah would go live with her adoptive parents, Sharon and Andy Sykes.

The little girl adapted well and immediately had two brothers who doted on her, but something was missing. Dawson. In every picture the family had received from the adoption agency leading up to Hannah’s adoption, she was pictured with Dawson.

They would play together, hold hands, and sit next to each other. Hannah’s mom felt called to help Dawson find a home too, so she took to social media. The Texas mom knew part of her daughter’s heart was still in China with Dawson.

Amy Clary was out to dinner with her family when she heard about Dawson. She and her husband, Christopher, joked that by the time he had returned from the play area with their kids that Amy had decided to adopt Dawson.

The Clarys have three children younger than five, but they felt their faith calling them to adopt Dawson. When his adoption was approved, Amy and Sharon decided that the two kids should reunite, especially since they’d been separated for months.

When three-year-old Dawson got off the plane, he immediately spotted four-year-old Hannah who was ready and waiting for her best friend to arrive. “They must have hugged 400 times,” said their moms.

The two now live less than five miles apart and their families have become quite close too. While their mothers say people believe the adoptions are doing something wonderful for the kids, they say it is the children that have blessed the families.

Check out the amazing reunion video below and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
