On a recent episode of the show “American Pickers,” hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz came upon an amazing piece of music history.

The antique hunters were deep in the woods of Chesterfield, Massachusetts, which is located about 100 miles West of Boston, when they found the 1964 Harvester Metro van that was the legendary rock band Aerosmith’s first tour bus in the 1970s.

Aerosmith founding member Ray Tabano confirmed that this was indeed the original van!

“I’m afraid to say how long it is, but it’s been like 40 years since we’ve been in this thing,” Tabano said.

The owner of the land where the van was found said that the vehicle had been there since he bought the property from someone who had a connection to Aerosmith. Wolfe and Fritz paid the owner $25,000 to purchase the land from him.

“It just reminded me of the humble beginnings and I look at where (the band has) gone today — it’s just amazing,” Tabano said.

This is such an amazing find! SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this as well!
