As the daughter of the King of Rock N’ Roll, Lisa Marie Presley has been in the spotlight her entire life. Now, after a recent struggle with drug addiction, Lisa Marie is back and opening up about her personal struggles, her father’s legacy, and her upcoming album.

When Today’s Jenna Bush Hager sat down to interview Lisa Marie, she had no idea that she would get so personal so fast.

Lisa Marie spoke directly about the issues that plagued both her and her father, Elvis Presley.

“I’m not perfect, my father wasn’t perfect, no one’s perfect. It’s what you do with it after you learn and then you try to help others with it,” she said.

Lisa Marie said that it was her children, Riley, Benjamin, Finley and Harper, who helped her see the light. She also turned to music for solace, just as her father did when things got tough for him. She just released a new compilation album of Elvis’ gospel recordings she co-produced called “Where No One Stands Alone.”

Lisa Marie said that the album makes her feel closer to her father in heaven.

She admitted to Jenna that she reaches out to her father in Heaven often.

“‘I think I already said, ‘Help me, God help me…’ I would want to know he’s there. Yeah, It would be pretty much, ‘I could use your help right around now,'” Lisa Marie said.

She added that she knows her father is still watching over and protecting her.

Lisa Marie went on to say that the gospel album perfectly embodies who Elvis was as a person.

“He just loved it. He would break out into Gospel music whenever and wherever he was, at any time. It’s what moved him,” she said.

Lisa Marie is now hoping that her father’s spirit will now help others find peace, just as it helped her!
