When Nick Lewan and Kassie Bevier met in 2014 at Grand Valley State University they knew they had something special going on. They also quickly discovered they had something else remarkably in common.

The duo met when their psychology professor asked if anyone in the class was a twin. The couple soon ended up going on a date and asked their prospective siblings to go along. That’s when Zack Lewan met Krissie Bevier and the rest is, as they say, history.

The Lewans proposed during a trip to the Henry Ford Museum with both sets of parents present. “It basically happened at the same time, which is par for the course with us. We do things in twos,” said Kassie.

“We’re standing there in the church getting ready to sing and they just start belting it out,” said Kassie of the twin brothers. “They were actually singing. My sister and I looked at each other like, ‘Who are these guys?'”

Krissie and Zack are scheduled to get married Friday followed by Kassie and Nick on Saturday. Both couples will be standing up with the other couple at their wedding and a joint reception is planned for Saturday.
