Anyone who has ever experienced back pain knows how incredibly difficult it is to deal with. One in ten Americans suffer from back pain, and every year, Americans spend billions of dollars on spine treatments that they hope will provide some relief. Sadly, these treatments rarely work.
Dr. Stuart McGill, a professor of spine biomechanics at the University of Waterloo, explained that “so many treatments show up as ineffective is that they are used in an indiscriminate one-size fits-all way, rarely targeted on the underlying problem.”
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines have dropped ultrasound, spinal injections, spinal fusion, disc replacement, TENS machines, and acupuncture because there is no strong evidence that they actually work.
This pain is even worse for people who suffer from sciatica, which causes sufferers to experience intense pain, inflammation, and numbness in the affected limb. Now, however, you’ll be happy to know that a homemade remedy is being hailed as an effective way to treat these ailments, and this remedy is garlic milk!
Though it may sound gross, there are actually many benefits to garlic milk. This substance has numerous health benefits, including improving cardiovascular health, strengthening the immune system, preventing cancer, curing infections, and reducing inflammation. It also has nutrients found in milk like calcium, protein and Vitamin B12, and these ingredients all come together to provide fast relief!
All you need to make garlic milk is:
-4 cloves of garlic, crushed
– 250 ml of milk
– Honey, to taste
First, put the crushed garlic cloves in the milk in a saucepan and slowly bring to a boil, with the heat on low. Stir the mixture often to make sure milk does not burn to the bottom. Once the mixture is boiling, take it off heat and allow it to cool. Add in the honey to make it taste better, and then pour it in a cup so you can enjoy it!
