Unfortunately, animal shelters all over the world are full of unwanted pets, and the animals that are not able to find forever homes have to be euthanized. It’s not pleasant to think about this, but it’s a sad reality of this world.

Eldad Hagar and his rescue team work tirelessly to save as many stray animals as they can from being euthanized. When they heard that a puppy named Edie was about to be put down just a few hours away from them, they knew that they had to do something.

Even this seasoned rescue team was horrified by what they saw when they walked into the shelter. They found Edie, a Maltese poodle mix, living in a high-kill shelter just an hour before she was scheduled to be euthanized. The shelter had decided to euthanize Edie because she was terrified of human contact.

The team believed that Edie was only afraid because she had been abused in the past. Edie would begin to tremble with fear if she even laid eyes on a human.

Eldad was determined to save Edie and show her that there are good people in the world. It didn’t take long for him to build trust with Edie, and soon, she was wagging her tail and laying on her back as she allowed him to scratch her belly. This was a huge step for the dog!

The team saved Edie and took her to a groomer, who got rid of her matted hair. All this dog needed was a little bit of love and care! In the video below, you’ll see Edie’s amazing transformation. You won’t believe what she looks like now!
