The 82nd Airborne Division has been nicknamed “the tip of the spear” for specializing in parachute assault operations into denied areas.

But this infantry division of the United States Army has another talent – singing.

They recently filmed themselves singing “Amazing Grace” and “God Bless America” as a tribute to the land for which they fight for.

You won’t want to miss them singing in the video below. The 82nd Airborne was formed in 1917 and is based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

They have often been rated the best trained light infantry division in the world.

Every year they compete in a re-enactment of the World War II River pontoon boat crossing, a combat maneuver that helped the allies liberate the Dutch city of Nijmegen.

Some 48 U.S. soldiers from the 82nd were killed in the crossing.

Some of the World War II exploits of the 82nd Airborne have been featured in the 1962 Oscar winning film, “The Longest Day”, and they also performed evacuations and rescue operations after Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans.

Check out their beautiful singing in the video below, and be sure to share it with your friends.

They definitely won’t want to miss it.
