Dogs are known as man’s best friend because they show an incredible amount of love to humans. Dogs are also so intuitive that they can pick up on when humans are feeling sad, and they are typically willing to do whatever it takes to lift our spirits!

Cora is a small corgi who was rescued from a puppy mill just before her eighth birthday. Despite the fact that Cora spent years living in horrific conditions, she has not let this stop her from seeing the good in people!

Cora was suffering from numerous health issues when she was rescued, but she persevered and was sent to a foster home. There, her foster mom Madison Palm immediately fell in love with her!

Madison grew to love Cora so much that she adopted her, and the corgi quickly grew to love her in return! Since Cora is such a loving canine, Madison decided to have her trained as a therapy dog, and this turned out to be the perfect thing for the pet to do!

“Cora’s personality is so amazing; she is a lover,” Madison said. “She is always right next to me and always keeps a close eye if she’s not. If I’m not available she’ll pick the next closest lap to sit on and nudges your hand unless you are petting her at all times. She is SO sweet and that is usually the first thing people say about her. Her gentle and kind nature never goes unnoticed.”

Cora and Madison were recently at an airport when they saw a man sitting alone, and he clearly looked very sad. What happened next has gone viral.

“She was taking a snooze so I let go of her leash briefly while I relaxed and had a snack; that is when she woke up and snuck over to him,” Madison said. “Before I could even call her she was already at his feet being loved on.”

Madison feared that Cora was bothering the man, so she went to go check on them, but the man said the dog was not bothering him at all.

“I asked him if she was bothering him and with a somber face and watery eyes he said, ‘No, no; I lost my dog last night.’ He scratched behind her ears, patted her on the back and was whispering how cute she was,” Madison said. “He took out his phone to snap a photo and she sat directly in front of him facing him and staying perfectly still for it.”

This serves as a reminder of how powerful the love of a dog can be!
