Taking a family photo can be difficult. First you have to find a time that everyone in the family can be there. Then you have to try to get everyone focused and looking at the camera. This can be especially hard if little ones are involved.

When this family gathered on a bridge with beautiful scenery in the background, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for a family photo. The family posed together for the cameraman while trying to get the little ones to focus on the camera when something unexpected happened.

The cameraman announced that someone was missing from the photo. The confused family looks around and you can tell they can’t figure out what exactly the man behind the camera is talking about. The entire family appeared to already be there.

Then the surprise hits. What they don’t realize is their Army soldier son, Jared Johns, is sneaking up from behind to unexpectedly join the photo. When mom realizes what has happened, her reaction is priceless.
