Meghan Markle’s father Thomas has become a major thorn in the royal family’s side in the past few months as he has given humiliating interview after humiliating interview about them. Now, new reports are indicating that Meghan and Prince Harry are extremely unhappy over the fact that Thomas as once again gone to the press to talk about them in exchange for cash this week.

“I was silent for a full year and the press beat me up every day saying I was a hermit hiding in Mexico, so I gave my story,” he said. “Apparently that interview put the royal family in their silence mode … so, I gave another interview to break the silence. All they have to do is speak to me.”

This came a month after Thomas gave an interview to “Good Morning Britain” in which he opened up about Harry’s personal political beliefs. This was very bad for the royal family, as they are always supposed to be politically neutral in public.

Despite the fact that Meghan has made it clear that she wants her father to stop talking to the press, he says he has no intention of disappearing.

“Tomorrow is my birthday, 74 years old, and I’m enjoying the fact that I can make the entire royal family not speak and maybe I can get a laugh out of the duchess,” he said.

Thomas had previously claimed that Meghan is not enjoying her time in the royal family, even though he has not spoken to her since her wedding.

“My thing about my daughter right now is that I think she’s terrified. I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile,” he said. “I’ve seen her smile for years. I know her smile. I don’t like the one I’m seeing now. This one isn’t even a stage smile — this is a pained smile.”

Meghan’s close friend Priyanka Chopra immediately shut this assertion down, however.

“She’s doing amazing,” said the actress, who was at Meghan’s wedding. “It’s so nice to see.”

It’s so sad that Meghan’s father continues to throw his own daughter under the bus in exchange for cash and some time in the spotlight. SHARE this story if you think Thomas Markle should stop talking to the press!
