Meghan Markle made a royal blunder when she arrived to Ireland for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s official two-day visit. What mistake did she make? She forgot to remove the plastic casing from her new handbag.

She arrived Tuesday evening at the Dublin Airport carrying a £475 Strathberry tote that still sported the wrapping on the protective studs on the underside of the bag. That didn’t seem to stop fans of Markle from rushing out and buying the bag. It sold out just hours after the Duchess was pictured using it.

Meghan might have made a mistake with her bag, but she didn’t carry it for long. Just hours after touching down in Dublin, she changed into a black midi dress and opted to pair it with a black Givenchy clutch.

This is the first official overseas trip the Duke and Duchess have carried out as a married couple. The couple was spotted earlier today with Meghan clinging to Prince Harry as she struggled in her heels on the cobble stone outside the residence Aras an Uachtarain.

Harry and Meghan have squeezed a lot into their two day visit. They’ve met President Higgins and his wife and will visit a number of organizations in the city as well as spend time meeting some of the residents.

They will head back to London in time to watch the match between England and Croatia in the World Cup semi-final match. Prince Harry is an avid soccer fan, but has yet to reveal which team he thinks will come out on top.

What do you think of Meghan’s mistake? Do you think it was that big of a deal? Share this story with your friends and see what they think.
