Maura Hennelly is the proud owner of a bird named Kiwi. Recently, Maura noticed that Kiwi was showing signs of loneliness, so she decided to go about finding a soulmate for him. What happened next has made the hearts of people all over the world melt!

Maura lives in Fair Oaks, California, and she has spent her entire life rescuing animals, adopting many of them herself. She owns many other animals aside from just Kiwi, including a lizard, a Pekingese dog, and a turtle.

When Maura began trying to find Kiwi love, she thought she found the perfect mate for him when she adopted a similarly bright and beautiful bird. However, Kiwi and the bird never hit it off, and it quickly became clear she was not his soulmate.

Weeks later, Maura tried to go the “opposites attract” route by adopting a “little goth girl” bird named Siouixie.

Though Kiwi and Siouixie looked different and had very different personalities, they immediately fell in love! Within days of meeting, Kiwi was sharing his coconut with Siouixie, which was a huge step for him.

Before long, Maura started to feel like a third wheel with her two lovebirds!

After six months of dating, Kiwi and Siouixie took things to the next level by deciding to have babies! Maura was ecstatic when she saw Siouixie building a nest in preparation for the little ones.

The lovebirds’ four  babies were born in June, and they could not have been cuter!

In no time, their feathers came in, and they were just as colorful as their dad!

Maura is having a blast helping out with the little ones.
