Jimmy Buffett, famous for all things Margaritaville, has just announced that he will be opening a chain of retirement communities. What will they be named? Latitude Margaritaville, of course. It might just be the most amazing mash-up idea we’ve ever heard of.

Who doesn’t want to spend their golden years with their toes in the sand and a margarita in their hand? The first location will be in Daytona Beach, Florida, and will only be available to those “55 or better” according to the press release.

It will be located directly on the beach and have every amenity you could imagine for a Buffett-style paradise. The photos of the retirement community released by the developer are nothing short of amazing and beautiful.

Let’s fast forward to retirement age, shall we? The new Margaritaville website says the idea is to create a real-life version of the happy place in your mind and the spirit of adventure in your soul. When it all comes together in one perfect place, why not call it home?

The bird’s eye rendering of the community reveals that almost all of the houses have an ocean view, and even the main complex in the community looks like a beach bum’s paradise. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy a game of cornhole or sunset dinner with the ocean right beside you?

All of the houses look exactly like what you’d expect from Buffett. The press release says they will range in price from $200,000 to $350,000, and you’ll be able to decorate the home however you choose. The kitchens will come fully stocked with anything you might need. Do you think they come with a frozen drink blender too?

In case the ocean isn’t a big enough swimming pool for you, or the ocean isn’t your thing, some of the homes come with their own pool. There is also a community center with a public, tropical-themed pool if you’d rather enjoy that.

All in all, it looks like a pretty great place to spend your golden years. With restaurants, concerts, and anything else you can imagine right out your front door, it just might be time to celebrate. It is, after all, 5 o’clock somewhere.
