Captain Cory Barr was just 34-years-old when he died Tuesday responding to a gas leak in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The fire department chief left behind his wife and two little girls. A GoFundMe account was created for the benefit of the family and someone special took notice.

Just hours after the GoFundMe account was opened, NFL star J.J. Watt quietly made a $10,000 donation. Amonth the $5 and $20 donations, was the massive donation from Justin Watt, J.J.’s full name.

Watt didn’t announce his donation on social media or call any attention to it, but this isn’t something that is out of the ordinary for him.

Watt is a former Wisconsin native and was on the Badger football team. He grew up close to where the explosion occurred and simply wanted to do his part. He is now a defensive end who plays for the Houston Texans.

This isn’t the first time Watt has kicked in some assistance for those in need. He helped raise over $37 million for those affected by Hurricane Harvey and donated $10,000 to a Texas student that was injured during a football game.

What a heartwarming story! Be sure to share this with your family and friends.
