Homelessness is a major problem in the United States that effects millions of people. Those who are left homeless have no place to sleep and no food to eat, which puts them in a very desperate and dangerous situation.

Homeless people are forced to depend on the kindness of strangers just to get by in life.

A homeless man recently walked into Huey’s, a popular restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee, hoping that someone who worked there would take pity on him and help him out. The man was starving, but he only had $2 to his name, which wasn’t going to be enough to buy him anything substantial.

Dawn Wilt was eating at the restaurant when she saw the homeless man approach the bartender, whose name was Beck. The bartender greeted the homeless man with a friendly, “What can I get you man?”

The homeless man explained that he was starving, but he only had $2 on him. Without hesitating, Beck offered the homeless man a burger with a side of onion rings or fries. Though $2 was not enough to pay for this meal, Beck gave it to him anyway!

“God bless you,” the grateful homeless man said.

“They gave the food to him to go and I swear when it came out it was way more than he ordered or paid for … I say cheers to Beck for having a HEART,” Dawn wrote on social media.

Dawn went on to say that Beck reminded her of the bartender in the classic movie “It’s a Wonderful Life,” which has the classic line, “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings.”

“Beck, you get the wings today. Made my heart smile,” Dawn concluded.

We applaud this bartender for helping out a homeless man in need! SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this as well!
