If you’re anything like me, you loved watching “The Waltons” back in the 1970s. The wholesome television was perfect for families to enjoy together, and they really don’t make shows like this one anymore!

Now, 37 years after “The Waltons” aired it’s final episode, we’ve decided to check out what some of the main cast members are up to today! Scroll through and see what has happened to this classic show’s cast members over the years.

Jon Walmsley (Jason Walton)

Walmsley played the second oldest brother in the family, and he was known for his musical voice during his time on the show. Since the show ended, Walmsley has made his living off of his voice, composing and publishing around 14 albums, including the famous “Christmas in America.”

Eric Scott (Ben Walton)

Ben was known as the feisty, trouble-making Walton brother. Scott, who now lives in Los Angeles, has left acting and is vice president of a parcel delivery company.

David W. Harper (Jim Bob Walton)

The youngest Walton son was known for being the smartest one. Harper has left the acting world behind and works as an art dealer in Los Angeles.

Kami Cotler (Elizabeth Walton)

Cotler was widely tapped for stardom after playing the youngest Walton, but she left acting after the show ended. She looks back at her time on the show fondly, organizing the Walton family reunion at the time of the series’s 40th anniversary.

Ralph Waite (John Walton Sr.)

Waite enjoyed a decades-long career as an actor, writer, and director even after “The Waltons” ended. He also ran for Congress unsuccessfully three times. Waite passed away in 2014 at the age of 85.

Miss Michael Learned (Olivia Walton)

Learned earned three Emmy Awards and four Golden Globe nominations for her portrayal of the Walton matriarch before leaving the show after season seven. She has continued to act to this day, and even has a movie coming out later this year!

Mary Elizabeth McDonough (Erin Walton)

After playing the second oldest Walton daughter, McDonough has continued to act in several television shows and movies. She has inspired many by continuing to work despite the fact that she suffers from lupus, an immune disorder.

Judy Norton (Mary Ellen Walton)

After spending years playing the oldest Walton daughter, Norton discovered that her true passion was dinner theater, and she has been very successful at that!
