The London gospel choir was watched by millions when they performed at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and the choir has now struck a deal with Sony Music to release a debut album later this year.

The Kingdom Choir sang the song, “Stand By Me” at the royal wedding on May 19 with people watching from around the world. Under the record deal, they will start recording the album later this month with the album set for release in November.

The album will reportedly include “Stand By Me” which the choir performed outside of Kensington Palace when the record deal was announced. “We are absolutely over the moon, delighted. It’s a dream,” said choir leader Karen Gibson.

The choir has been performing for over 20 years, but entered the limelight when they performed their rendition of the Ben E. King hit at the Windsor wedding. Their performance topped the U.S. Hot Gospel Songs chart.

Gibson said they never expected anything like this to happen. They just thought they’d have a lovely time at the wedding and maybe have a bit of a platform, but never expected a record deal from the performance.

The choir will also be performing in concert in late November. Check out the video below of them singing at the royal wedding and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
