Stephen Parker and his sons, Mason and J.T., were working on a car in their backyard when tragedy struck. Thanks to the quick thinking of his youngest son, Stephen is still here to tell the tale of the day his son saved his life.

The car was so heavy that both Stephen and his 17-year-old son, Mason, had to work together to get the car jacked up so the threesome could work on the car. After working a few minutes Mason went inside to get a bandage to cover a cut on his hand.

This left J.T., just eight-years-old, outside with his dad. Stephen was underneath the car attempting to fix the car’s axle when the jack suddenly gave out. The car fell and Stephen was pinned underneath the car unable to breath.

J.T. was on the other side of the car and unable to see his father. Stephen was afraid to yell out to J.T. because he didn’t want to feel the pressure to jack up the car, and then blame himself for his dad’s death if he couldn’t get the job done.

About to lose consciousness Stephen called out to J.T. who immediately realized the severity of the situation. After that, Stephen lost consciousness and doesn’t remember what happened next. Luckily for him, J.T. knew exactly what to do.

Although it took both his father and brother to lift the car earlier, J.T. began jumping up and down on the jack. Despite weighing only 50 pounds, he lifted the car in a matter of minutes. He says it was scary, but he just kept trying.

Since that day, he has tried to repeat what he did that day and he simply can’t do it. He believes that angels helped him that day. His dad is also convinced that a higher power was at work that day. “It made me realize we’re not alone. There is a higher power taking care of us and watching over us,” said Stephen.

Check out the video below where the father and son recall what happened that day and be sure to share this heroic feat with your family and friends.
