Amy and DJ recently travelled to Disney World in Orlando, Florida with their 6 year-old identical twin sons, Peyton and Bryant.

The family decided to go to the hotel one day early so that their boys could play at the pool, and thank God they decided to do this, because Peyton and Bryant ended up becoming heroes with what they did there that day!

Peyton and Bryant have already been swimming for years, and they love being in the water so much that Amy has nicknamed them her “little fish.”

As the boys played in the hotel pool, they noticed a 3 year-old girl trying to get to the deep end.

The toddler’s mother had turned her back for just a minute to pack up their toys, and she had no idea that her daughter had run back into the water.

Peyton and Bryant watched as the girl jumped into the pool and struggled to stay above water. She was not able to keep her head above water, and the twins looked on as she “sank to the bottom like a stone.”

Knowing that they had to act fast, the boys leaped into action and swam over to the girl to rescue her. Had they not moved quickly, the girl likely would have drowned.

Children drowning is way more common than you would think, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has stated that drowning is the leading cause of injury-related death among children ages 1 to 4, and the second leading cause of death in children ages 1 to 14, right behind car accidents.
