“America’s Got Talent” is a show that is full of some pretty amazing acts, yet there is one act this year that has completely stolen the show!

The Angel City Chorale is a full choir of 160 people, and this year, they decided to audition for “America’s Got Talent!” After they took the stage, judge Simon Cowell asked Sue Fink, director of the Los Angeles-based group, why a choir has never won the reality television competition. Her answer was both simple and bold.

“They weren’t us,” she said.

Fink’s goal in leading the choir is to bring togetherness and diversity into one space where people can sing in harmony, and she has certainly accomplished this! The choir left the entire audience mesmerized when they broke into their own rendition of “Africa” by Toto.

The judges were totally blown away by the performance.

“I love the way this began,” said judge Howie Mandel. “Talk about taking an audition by storm. You really, literally took it by storm. It was amazing.”

“There’s something very, very impactful when you all sing together. It’s very uplifting. It’s fantastic,” added judge Mel B.

“I liked it very much,” said judge Heidi Klum. “My favorite part is also when you are interactive with the audience. I really loved it.”

Even the notoriously difficult to please Simon could not get enough of the choir!

“I just felt there was something magical about hearing you all sing together,” Simon said. “When a song works and the vocals work, it just washes all over you and you feel amazing. That’s what great choirs can do and you’ve got a fantastic combined energy. This a great audition. I’m gonna remember this for a long time. I’m thrilled.”
