Our physical features can often tell us a lot about our personality traits, and our thumbs are no exception.

Our physical appearance can play a role in determining what we think of ourselves, our self esteem, and what type of personality we have.

Thumbs vary in shapes and sizes. One half can be bigger than the other, or both halves can be the same size.

They can be flexible or inflexible, even though there is a joint that joins the upper part of the thumb to the lower part.

Which type of thumb do you have and what does it say about you?

1. Type A – The Upper Half Is Bigger Than The Lower Half – If the bottom half of your thumb is smaller than the upper half, you have a tendency to overreach. You’re not satisfied with mediocrity and you always reach for the stars.

You desire to excel and it is evident in your personality. Even when you’re quiet your mind is racing of ways to reach new heights.

You are also someone who has a tendency to get obsessed with your goals. Your desire for success is intense. But you’re not the kind of person to be boastful about your success.

You’re more likely to be grateful and humble with your success. It is the blend of humility and desire that makes you an incredible person.

2. Type B – The Lower Half of The Thumb Is Bigger Than The Upper Half – If you have this shape of thumb, then you are deeply rooted in your origins and you tend to be a very humble person. You are calm and content, and most importantly, considerate. You are not the type of person to promise the stars unless you can deliver on your word.

You also value the little things in life. You find joy and peace in the little things and you are a gentle person. You keep your feet on the ground, but think of higher ideas while never forgetting where you came from.

You always wish to fulfill your duties towards those who have helped you get where you are. You are the kind of person that is rich, maybe not in money, but of love and heart.

3. Type C – Both Half of The Thumb Are Equal In Size – If both halves of your thumb are the same size, you are the kind of person that is always seeking balance.

You strive for harmony and you are always trying to bring people together on a middle ground. Your personality is made to seek equilibrium and you are satisfied with nothing else.

You are also highly driven by the yin-yang theory of life. For every bad, you find good; for every ugly, you find beauty; and for every setback, you will find a way to push ahead.

Through luck, effort, or sheer will, you will almost always find balance and be someone worth emulating. Your life is built around physical, emotional, and spiritual harmony.

4. Type D – Flexible – If your thumb is flexible, you are the kind of person who is good at adapting to change. You are a survivor by nature and you are usually the first person to recognize change and adapt to it accordingly.

You are also someone who is flexible with your thoughts and able to change your opinion when new facts are presented. You tend to have an open mind that can switch behavior and attitude when needed to achieve your goals.

This is a rare quality and gives you the advantage to survive even under the most difficult of circumstances.

5. Type E – Inflexible – If your thumb isn’t flexible, then you have dominant personality and tend to be on the stubborn side. You are someone who sticks by your word and swears by your promises.

You are inflexible about your goals if you set your heart on something, and nothing can keep you from acting towards that goal.

You are the kind of person that people can trust and rely on to never waiver. You are loyal and people can trust you with their life.

Your stubbornness is a boon as it is never mindless, but instead is based on well-thought out ideas.

What did your thumb tell you about your personality?

Was it right?
