Parenting is a hard job for anyone, but it is especially difficult for single parents who are left to raise their child alone. Single parents have nobody to pick up the slack for them, and it is up to only them to make sure all their child’s needs are met.

One father just made clear to the world where his priorities lie when he took his 6 year-old daughter out to dinner for Valentine’s Day. Instead of taking his current girlfriend out to dinner to celebrate the holiday, the father decided to spend time with his little girl. He had no idea that as they ate their meal, someone was watching their every move!

When the father paid the bill, he was given the following note:

“Hi there! Sorry to spy, but my husband and I saw you out with your little date and were so impressed with what a great Dad you are. From two adults who grew up without dads, it’s so important to have a male role model at a young age. Keep up the good work Dad! Dinner is on us!”

The father was so touched by the note that he decided to share it on social media along with the caption, “As a single dad, I took my six-year-old daughter out to Valentine’s dinner tonight when this happened. I won’t lie, I teared up at the table. So, thank you, random strangers. Thank you.”
