Children bring tremendous joy to our lives with their free spirits and unbridled love, but sometimes they can also be unpredictable and a bit chaotic. When children are expected to perform in some type of capacity, you can’t always be guaranteed that things will go exactly as planned.

On May 19th when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchanged vows, they had a whopping 10 kids that joined them in their wedding. While some people have one or two children to help them down the aisle, this couple chose 10 to be their page boys and bridesmaids.

Rather than having friends and family join them as part of the bridal party, the children they adored the most filled the special roles. The dilemma with this plan was that during the wedding rehearsal, the children didn’t cooperate the way the adults had hoped.

Instead, the little ones were so badly behaved that it was decided that they would return on Friday before the wedding for another run through of their duties. This time, the tots were only accompanied by their moms while the remaining adults stayed home to let the moms handle things.

Kate Middleton, Jessica Mulroney, and Benita Litt were among the moms that arrived with the kids. Together they wrangled the kids and appeared to be calm on the outside while doing so. If they were frustrated with the children, we never caught a glimpse of it.

When the big day came, the children performed their duties without a single hitch. The naughty children from the rehearsal seemingly had disappeared. So what made the big difference in the busy little children?

If you guessed that they were bribed, you would be right! Reportedly the children were bribed with candy to make it down the aisle using their best behavior. If you’ve seen footage of the wedding, you’ll know that the plan worked because the children were incredibly well behaved!

Check out the video below of the adorable page boys and bridesmaids as they accompany Meghan Markle down and the aisle and don’t forget to share it with your friends.
