Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful songs of all time, and it has been performed by many different artists in many different ways over the years.

Allie Sherlock was just a young girl when she took to the streets of Dublin, Ireland to perform her version of “Hallelujah,” never expecting that it would go viral! Allie had been playing guitar for just three years when this video was shot, and this was the first time she had gotten up the nerve to perform in front of an audience.

As Allie started to sing her version of “Hallelujah” with her uniquely husky voice, people walking by began to stop and crowd around her so that they could listen. The strangers could not believe what they were hearing, as they had never heard someone so young sing in such a beautifully throaty style!

Before long, dozens and dozens of people were standing listening to Allie, some of them swaying to the music as she sang.

Allie’s unforgettable performance went viral almost as soon as it was posted on YouTube, and since then, her life has changed quite a bit! Since her viral hit, Allie has appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ hit TV show and even signed a recording contract with Ryan Tedder, the front man for OneRepublic who is also a noted music writer/producer.

It’s clear from the video below that Allie is going to go on to do amazing things in the music world! Check out her powerful performance below, and SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this as well!
