The royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took place on Saturday, and it was watched by millions of people all over the globe! Fans had been eagerly anticipating the wedding for months, and they wanted to see absolutely every detail about it.

Though Harry and Meghan kept most of their wedding plans a surprise until it happened, they did announce details about their royal wedding cake before the event! Claire Ptak of London’s Violet Cakes had been chosen to bake the royal wedding cake, which was to be lemon and elderflower flavored. The cake also had buttercream frosting and fresh flowers.

Though the description of it was amazing, it was nothing compared to how scrumptiously delicious the cake ended up looking! The enormous lemon sponge cake looked good enough to eat as it was presented at the wedding on gold, multi-tiered trays.

“The texture is really lovely and the flavor is quintessentially spring and British,” Kensington Palace said of the cake.

This cake was the polar opposite of the one Prince William and Kate Middleton had at their 2011 wedding. They both look so amazing that I can’t decide which one I like more!
