Robert Wood was driving from Oregon to Alaska with his wife and two children so that they could move to the northernmost state. Once they reached the city of Eugene after traveling for days, they decided to save money by spending the night in their car.

They were never expecting a police officer to show up to put a stop to these plans…

Eugene Police Lt. David Natt was on patrol in a local park when he caught sight of the family’s car and found it suspicious, as the park had already closed for the night. He cautiously approached the car and knocked on the window, not knowing who was inside.

It was only when he looked in the window that he saw a four-year-old sleeping on a man’s chest, alongside a two-year-old nuzzled with a pregnant woman. Natt found the sight heartbreaking, and he knew he needed to do something immediately to help this family.

Natt could have reprimanded the family for trespassing, but instead, he decided to put his badge aside for a moment to change their lives forever. Wood and his wife feared the worst when they first saw Natt, as they assumed they were about to be arrested and their kids would be taken away. However, they quickly realized they had no reason to fear!

The family could not hide their emotions when they realized what Natt was doing for them! Find out what he did in the video below, and SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this as well!
