William and Reagan Brentlinger were born on December 17, 2016, to their parents Matthew and Lyndsay Brentlinger. Although the babies appeared normal and healthy, little William wasn’t as healthy as he looked.

Doctors warned the parents that their son wouldn’t be with them too long and said he would only live a week or two after his birth. They decided to cherish the time they had with him and capture their little family’s memories in pictures before it was too late.

Photographer Lindsey Brown was the photographer who took the family’s first and last photographs. Just two short days after the Brentlinger’s contacted her, Brown arrived to take the photos that the family would cherish forever.

Being able to capture photos of William and Reagan holding hands, and photographs with the family together with both babies helped the grieving mother and father cope with their loss. Brown says she was happy to be able to help the family.

The pictures reflect a beautiful time between the family members, although a few reflect the darkness ahead of them knowing that William’s days were numbered. The feeling of love that Brown was able to capture shines in the photographs.

William died just 11 days after his birth in his mother’s arms, but thanks to Brown, the family will have the pictures to cherish for years to come. Reagan, Matthew, and Lyndsay will always have the photographs to remember sweet William.
