Primrose is a little girl who was born with a severe case of congenital glaucoma that left her with striking silver eyes. Her condition went untreated for the first 23 months of her life, which left her in constant pain.
Primrose was abandoned by her birth mother because of her blindness and hearing issues, and no family was willing to take her in and give her the love she needed.
As time went by in the orphanage, Primrose never learned how to hold her head up or how to even take a bottle. She also never knew what it was like to have parents who loved her.
As Primrose struggled in her orphanage, Chris and Eryn Austin were living halfway around the world raising their children in Braselton, Georgia. Eryn was looking around Facebook in June of 2016 when she came upon a photo that gave her chills.
Looking back at Eryn was a little girl in China with silver eyes that seemed to stare right through her. The little girl was Primrose, and Eryn knew right away that this was her child that she had to bring home!
Though the Austins knew they had to go to China and get Primrose, many asked them, “How did you know, how difficult was the decision to go?”
Eryn had a response that shows just how strong her faith is.
“You go when people think you’re crazy,” she said. “You go when you don’t even know the full diagnosis. You go for your kids at home. You go for your future grandkids. You go for the Gospel. You go to love. You go to fight like hell. You go to bring life. You go to CHANGE A LIFE…”
