A Native American applied to a bank to get a loan, but they were shocked when he told them this. His response to the banker is brilliant and hilarious! The story goes like this, but be sure to read it to the very end.

The old Native American wanted a loan for $500 so the banker pulled out a loan application. “What are you going to do with the money?” asks the banker to the Native American.

He replied, “Buy silver, make jewelry, and sell it.”

“What do you have for collateral?” asked the banker.

“Don’t know collateral,” replied the Native American.

The banker said, “That’s something of value that would cover the cost of the loan. Do you have any vehicles?”

“Yes. A 1949 Chevy pickup,” replied the Native American.

The banker shook his head and asked, “What about livestock?”

“Yes, I have a horse,” replied the Native American.

“How old is it?” asked the banker.

“Don’t know,” said the Native American. “Has no teeth.”

Finally, the banker decided to give the old man the loan anyway and several weeks later the Native American came back into the bank. He pulled out a roll of bills and said, “Here to pay.” Then he handed the banker the money to pay off his loan.

“What are you going to do with the rest of that money?” asked the banker.

“Put in hogan,” replied the Native American.

“Why don’t you deposit it in my bank?” asked the banker.

“Don’t know deposit,” replied the Native American.

The banker replied, “You put the money in our bank and we take care of it for you. Whenever you want to use it, you can withdraw it.”

The old man leaned across the desk and asked the banker, “What you got for collateral?”

If you think this is funny, share it with your friends to bring a smile to their face too.
