If you’ve paid attention to anything at all in the last week, you’ll know that the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has been in the spotlight of their fans all around the world. The couple, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are popular around the entire globe.

Watching their romance blossom has been absolutely mesmerizing. A true tale of the American actress who found love with a real-life British prince charming. She has given up her days in Hollywood as an actress and taken on her new duties as a British royal.

Their wedding was something out of a fairy tale as well. Markle wore a stunning white gown with flowers representing all 53 of the counties in the Commonwealth. Her hair was styled in a sleek bun, a far cry from the messy bun or loose hair she typically sports.

Another thing that took everyone by surprise was the simplicity of her appearance. We might have expected her to look more done up, but instead she opted for sheer make up that highlighted her glowing skin and freckles.

Her long time makeup artist, Daniel Martin, shared his experience with Markle as he was getting her ready for her big day. He admitted to her that he wasn’t sure how to address Markle once she became the bride of a prince, even though he had known her for ten years.

He asked, “How do I bow to you? I don’t want to disrespect you, but I’ve known you for almost ten years. What’s up?” Her response shocked him. She laughed at his question then gave him a perfect response.

Laughing she said, “I’m always going to be Meg.” Martin said he finished by telling her that the next time he saw her he was going to be respectful, but she was always going to be Meg, and that’s just how it was going to be.

Markle’s confirmation to Martin is telling of her personality. Despite the fame, fortunate, and popularity she now has, she will always be the girl that her friends and family have always known. She still just wants to be Meg.
