Over the weekend, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchanged vows during a beautiful ceremony held at Windsor Castle. Millions of people around the world watched and celebrated, but there is one person that attended who was simply there just to see one of his dearest friends wed the love of his life.

Among the 600 guests and the Royal family that attended the wedding, another 2,000 were invited from the charities that Prince Harry and Meghan have worked with over the years. Among them was a young boy that Prince Harry met when he was just four-years-old.

Young Mutsu Potsane met Prince Harry in 2004 while the Prince was visiting the Mantsase Children’s Home for orphans near Mohale’s Hoek in Lesotho. Harry was there in support of charities that help children who have been diagnosed with HIV and AIDS. While there, the two formed an amazing friendship.

Mutsu remained by Harry’s side for the majority of his trip and through the years they’ve stayed good friends. Prince Harry even set up a charity called Sentebale, or “Forget Me Not” in Sesotho. Each time Prince Harry returned to the area, Mutsu was always there to greet him.

When it came time to invite his friends involved with charities, of course Prince Harry couldn’t leave Mutsu off the list. Acting as a representative of the Prince’s charity, Mutsu was one of 10 representatives from Sentebale who attended the royal wedding.

Prince Harry’s gesture of inviting people he met through charity work is reminiscent of Princess Diana, his late mother. We’re sure she would be pleased to know that her caring heart lives on in her sons.

Mutsu was one of the first people to greet the newlyweds as they emerged from the chapel. He is now 18-years-old and is working on finishing school. Mutsu was thrilled to see the smile on his friend’s face.

The positive impact Prince Harry has worked to provide for those less fortunate than him is truly remarkable, and it would appear that his new bride has a giving, tender heart just like her new husband. If you think they will have the impact on the world that we do, please share this story with your friends.
