Television star and conservative Christian Joanna Gaines is pregnant with her fifth child, and she has just released a letter to her fans explaining why this pregnancy is so special to her and her entire family. Though it is Joanna’s fifth time being pregnant, she explained that this one feels just like her first!

“Since it’s been over eight years since I was pregnant with [daughter Emmie Kay, 7] I joke with my friends that it feels like it’s my first time being pregnant,” Joanna wrote in the letter, which also included her feelings about the series finale of “Fixer Upper.”

Though fans were devastated when the show was cancelled, Joanna appeared to be hopeful about the future in her letter.

“For us, the end of this final season marks the beginning of a new one,” she wrote. “If you would have told me that I’d end this season of the show pregnant with our fifth baby, I would’ve laughed. Like the entire Fixer Upper opportunity as a whole, life has a way of surprising us.”

“Pregnancy has been so fun, in fact my two favorite things to do are take naps and eat!” Joanna joked. She then got serious when she said the best part of being pregnant is watching how excited her kids are about their new sibling.

“The best thing about all of this is the excitement that my kids have shown for their new baby brother,” she wrote. “Since I had our first four babies so close to one another, none of them actually remember me being pregnant. They love my growing belly (and boy is it growing), and they cannot wait to meet him. I truly believe this baby is a gift from God for our family in this season.”

We’re glad to see that the Gaines family is doing so well. It’s clear that they have a lot to look forward to, as well as tons of faith that God will be with them in whatever comes next! Please say a prayer for Joanna as her due date gets closer!
