Making chicken is difficult, and there’s nothing worse than when the dish ends up tasting incredibly dry. Now, a new chicken recipe is going viral, and it will ensure that your chicken comes out moist every time!

Though the following method is meant to be used with skinless, boneless chicken breasts, you can also use this with chicken that still has the skin on it:

Step 1: Brine the Chicken

This step is not absolutely necessary, but it will make your chicken taste even juicier! The Kitchn suggests that you follow these simple steps to brine the chicken:

  • Dissolve 4 tablespoons of salt in 4 cups of water
  • Lay the breasts in a deep dish
  • Pour the brine over the breasts, completely submerging them
  • Let them sit anywhere from 15 minutes to 4 hours
  • Remove from brine and dry completely before continuing

Step 2: Pound the chicken

Pound down the breasts until they are both equally thick. You can do this using a mallet or the bottom of a jar!

Step 3: Season the chicken

All you need to do this is a little salt and pepper, which you rub on the chicken breast. For more flavor, you can also add flour or herbs and other seasonings!

Step 4: Heat the pan and apply oil or butter

Heat the pan with a lid on it at medium-high heat. Then, cover the bottom of the pan with 1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter.

Step 5: Start cooking the chicken

Once the pan is heated and ready, turn the heat down to medium and put the chicken breasts onto the pan. Leave the breasts still and cook for one minute. If you used flour, cook until the chicken takes on a golden color before moving on.

Step 6: Flip, cover, and keep cooking on low

Once a minute has gone by, flip the chicken over and turn the heat down to low. Cover the pan with a lid, and leave the chicken to cook for 10 minutes.

Step 7: Turn off the stove and remove the pan without taking off the lid

Turn off the stove and take the pan off, then leave it to sit with the lid on for another ten minutes.

Step 8: EAT!

Once you’ve waited the second ten minutes, take the lid off the pan and plate your chicken breasts! Then, you can sit down to enjoy them!

If you follow these steps, your chicken will turn out deliciously every time! SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this recipe as well!
