Spring is finally here, which means millions of Americans are thinking about getting their gardens started again. Though gardening is fun, all of us who love to garden know how hard it can be to create a bountiful garden that does not quickly become overrun by critters.

Now, however, many are deciding to get around this by creating a raised garden bed that can easily be put on a deck instead. Here are five kits we have found that are easy to assemble at home, and are cost effective as well!

  1. Cedar Wedge Garden Bed – Made out of cedar, this wedge design lets roots go deep into the soil without taking up too much space. It also doesn’t require any tools or installation! It doesn’t get any easier than this one!
  2. Rustic Elevated Garden Bed – This type of bed is raised up a bit more than the others, which makes it easier to work with. It has also earned rave reviews and is one of Home Depot’s most popular models, getting a 4.6 / 5 rating.
  3. Garden Bed With Critter Guard Fence – If animals are a problem for you, this kit will give you a barrier protecting your precious fruits and vegetables from any critters who want a piece of them!
  4. Wicker Garden Bed – This wicker design will be a beautiful addition to your deck or patio. The basket can hold 31 gallons of soil and has dividers that will allow you to do some pot gardening as well. On top of all that, it has a very high Amazon rating!
  5. Plastic Garden Beds – These garden beds are weather resistant and are very affordable. You can get them in a two-pack if you prefer to keep your fruits and vegetables separate. You can also get a small protective tent for it as well!

We hope you have a great summer in the garden! SHARE this story so your friends and family can be clued in on these nifty garden beds as well!
