Jacek Matusiak was devastated when his 16 year-old cat Ginge was diagnosed with cancer, and the animal’s condition quickly started going downhill.

“There was a massive change in his [Ginge’s] behavior, he was losing his balance a lot and he lost voice,” Jacek said. “He had two strokes, an enlarged liver, significant weight loss and tumor growth to the front paw pad. Putting him to sleep was imminent.”

The news got even worse when Jacek took Ginge to the veterinarian.

“Ginge was given a poor prognosis by the vet and a very small chance to survive as he was very withdrawn and almost lifeless,” he said.

Though Jacek was heartbroken, he was unwilling to give up on his cat so easily. He gave Ginge the antibiotics and steroids the vet had recommended, but nothing was working, so Jacek did some research of his own.

It was then that he came upon an article that claimed a woman had shrunk a cancerous tumor simply by using cannabidiol (CBD) oil, a naturally occurring chemical that is found in marijuana plants. Jacek realized that Ginge’s condition was similar to that of the woman, so he purchased a bottle of CBD oil from a natural food store to see if it could help his cat.

Jacek instantly began seeing results.

“We put five drops a day in Ginge’s food, and just two days after starting it, he started walking better and keeping his balance,” he said. “He completely perked up and started being more responsive. Most of all, his voice came back. Now, he can walk around the garden and he is back to his usual self again.”

Even Ginge’s tumor on his paw began to show improvement!

“Everything else didn’t work,” Jacek said, “but we believe it was the oil we gave him that helped him out.”

Now, Jacek wants to raise awareness of CBD oil so that others can use it for treatment as well.

“People just need to be aware that this could be really useful. I want to spread the word about how this could help people,” he said.
