Dawn dish soap is great for cleaning dishes, and many of us have seen commercials that show oil covered animals being cleaned with it in their commercials.

The dish soap has plenty of other uses too though.

From washing animals and dishes, to melting ice and making bubbles, there’s almost no end to what this soap can do.

This tough dish soap can be used around the house for doing more than just cleaning up your dinner dishes. Add a tablespoon of the liquid to a gallon of hot water, throw in your greasy tools, and in no time your tools will be clean and looking brand new.

It can also be used to clean up a stain from your carpet. Simply mix two ounces of hydrogen peroxide with one ounce of dish soap and spray it on the stain. Rub it in, wait a little while, and then clean it up with warm water.

Along with carpet, Dawn dish soap makes a great grout cleaner. Heat up one cup of vinegar in the microwave for one minute, put the hot vinegar in a spray bottle, add one cup of dish soap to the spray bottle, and gently shake to mix.

Spray the mixture on grout and let it sit for a few minutes before rubbing the grout clean. Dawn can also be used to unclog a toilet. Pour a pot of warm water into the toilet, add a few squirts of Dawn, and let it work its magic.

Dawn dish soap can be used outside of your home too. It can be mixed with a bit of water and sprayed on plants as a  non-toxic repellent for spider mites, ants, aphids, and other garden pests.

This handy soap can also be used to clean up oil spills from your driveway. Squirt some dish soap on the stain, scrub it in, wait for the oil to start rising to the surface, and then rinse it away with a hose.

Cleaning your grill can be done with ease when using Dawn dish soap. Simply squirt a bit of soap into a bucket of hot water, let your grill grates soak in the bucket for a while, and then wash the grime away. It can also be used during the winter to keep ice from forming on your steps and sidewalk.

Add one teaspoon of Dawn and one tablespoon of rubbing alcohol to a half gallon of warm water. Pour the mixture over your sidewalk and it will keep ice from forming.

You might have heard of this one. Mix one cup of Dawn, one-fourth cup of light corn syrup, and six cups of water for a great mixture for your kids to blow bubbles with.

Your pets can benefit from Dawn dish soap too. Fill your tub with warm water, add one cup of dish soap to the water, and bathe your dog to kill fleas.

The mighty dish soap can also be used to make ice packs. Who knew!? Just fill a sandwich bag half full of Dawn dish soap, squeeze out the air bubbles, and zip it tight.

Place in the freezer for a soft ice pack that will flex perfectly around knees, elbows, and ankles.
