Elephants are known for being one of the smartest animals in the jungle, and this video shows exactly why!

Sadly, the hunting of elephants is a common practice in parts of Asia. That’s what makes the Elephant Nature Park in Chang Mai, Thailand so special, as it is a place where elephants can find peace and safety with the devoted volunteers who care for them. Sangduen “Lek” Chailert, founder of the Save Elephant Foundation in Thailand, has a particularly special relationship with one elephant named Faamai  that was shown in a new viral video.

The video opens with Lek swatting away flies from Faamai with a cloth. She then starts singing a lullaby to the elephant, and Faamai’s creation is sure to warm your heart.

As Lek sings the soothing lullaby, Faamai starts to get drowsy and sink to the ground. Eventually, the elephant is no longer to stand upright at all, and she falls right asleep to Lek’s sweet song!

It turns out that Faamai isn’t the only elephant who loves soothing songs. The American Psychological Association found in a study that elephants love classical music, and orchestra violinist Eleanor Bartsch once played a concerto for two elephants that caused the animals to start swaying to the music!

In the end, this video shows the close bond that humans and elephants can share with each other. SHARE this story so your family and friends can see this video as well!
