When Chy-Niece was headed to an important interview, she couldn’t imagine why a cop had flashed his lights at her and was pulling her over. She wasn’t even speeding, and she had some place important to go. What he did next though, would shock her.

After pulling over to the side of the road, she began gathering her documents as the cop approached. Before she could get her license, insurance, and registration information together the cop told her he didn’t need it. He had simply pulled her over to let her know that both of her taillights were burned out.

Frustrated with the news, Chy-Niece told him that she’d had them replaced less than a month ago, and to find out what was wrong with them, the repair shop had wanted $600 to test the wiring. That was money she didn’t have to spend. The cop understood her predicament, and amazed her with what he did next.

He asked her if she would pop her trunk so he could look at the wiring to the lights. He examined the wiring and then asked her a few other questions. He popped the hood of the car and checked one relay box while teaching Chy-Niece how to check the other. When that didn’t work he kept looking.

The helpful officer could have easily given Chy-Niece a ticket. That would have been the easier route to take. Instead, he surprised her with his kindness and effort trying to help her fix the problem.

Chy-Niece took to social media to thank the cop for his actions. Due to the actions of Officer Jenkins, the post Chy-Niece made has been liked over 400,000 times and shared by nearly 100,000 people. Way to go Officer Jenkins. The world needs more officers like you.
