Fans were furious when Tim Allen’s hit sitcom “Last Man Standing” was suddenly and inexplicably cancelled by ABC last year after six hilarious seasons. Many fans were devastated by this, as they enjoyed the family centered show with the likeable Allen as its lead funny man. Now, these same fans are rejoicing, as Allen has indicated that he may be making a television comeback very soon.

When “Last Man Standing” was initially cancelled, Allen announced that he was shopping the show around to other networks in the hopes that they would want to continue airing it.

“I know fans would love nothing more than for us to take the cover off, fire up the engine, back this car out of the garage and get it back on the highway, full-throttle,” Allen said. “My sentiment sits in the front seat beside you.”

When no networks bit at this, however, Allen moved on to what many think is an even better idea: trying to reboot his legendary 1990s sitcom “Home Improvement!”

Earlier this month, Allen said that a reboot of his first show “has been floated.”

“And more [people] than I would have expected said, ‘Yeah, that would be cool to do it years later,’ like ‘Roseanne,’” he continued. “I like that idea. I still miss ‘Last Man Standing.’ We didn’t get our seventh year. I adored that show.”

When asked if it would be strange returning to “Home Improvement” after all this time, Allen said, “It’s like having a new dog and now to go back to the old dog? I don’t know. I like both characters, but yeah, I’d be very interested in that idea.”
