The Volkswagen Beetle is one of the most legendary cars in the world, as it’s unique shape has made it beloved since it was first put on the market in the 1930s.

Now, a twist has been made on this type of car with a newly-surfaced vehicle that is bringing the Volkswagen Beetle back in a big way.

Back in 1975, a company designed what is being referred to as a “Super Bugger,” which is a cross between a Volkswagen Beetle and an RV. The Super Bugger has a small living space behind the driver and passenger seats that was made using fiberglass paneling. Built on a 1968 VW Beetle platform, the Super Bugger originally sold for just $6,000.

Keith and Glenna Spelrum are the proud owners of a Super Bugger, and they love showing it off to the world.

“Nobody ever knows what it is and some guess it’s a Westphalia,” Keith said. He and Glenna love using their unique vehicle as a conversation starter to make new friends when they go on road trips.

“We came to one final conclusion about this very cool VW: it may not be the world’s best camper but it is the world’s best ice-breaker for Keith and Glenna,” My Star Collector Car reported.
