Millions of us have been trapped inside over the past few months due to the bitter cold of winter, and we’re all aching for summer to come along with the warm weather we crave.

Now, a new video is going viral that epitomizes the spring fever that we’re suffering from.

The video below shows a group of dairy cows in the Netherlands finally get set free after spending months inside during the winter.

When it starts to turn cold in the European nation, the cows are led inside a barn by their handlers and are not allowed back outside at all until winter is over.

As a result, the cows are desperate to get outdoors by the time spring finally arrives, and they aren’t afraid to show it!

Cows are so excited to be set free from their barns that it has become an annual event in Holland and other countries that is known as “Koeien in de wei,” which means cows in the pasture.

The event usually takes place on a Saturday in April, and people from all over Europe head to farms to watch as the cows show their excitement at feeling grass under their hooves again!

In the video below, you’ll see the cows start jumping for joy as soon as they step outside in a series of movements that is known as koeiendans, or cow dance.

Keep your eye out for one cute and frisky calf that completely steals the show!

We can totally relate to how the cows in this video feel, and we can’t wait to do our own koeiendans when spring finally arrives!

SHARE this story if you are excited for spring!
