The reboot of Roseanne Barr’s eponymous sitcom “Roseanne” premiered this week, and its ratings were through the roof!

The success of the show’s premiere episode has confirmed that there is a large audience of conservative Christian viewers that are not being tapped into by Hollywood. While the vast majority of shows on television are left-wing, this one reaches out to Trump supporters, Christians, and just the everyday American working family.

This show is not about promoting Donald Trump, however. Instead, it is about the tension that has sprouted between conservatives and liberals, most of whom are far more worried about each other than they are about issues.

When Roseanne’s show came back, she decided that her title character would be an outspoken Trump supporter. In one scene, Roseanne has a confrontation with her super-liberal sister Jackie, who is wearing an anti-Trump “Nasty Woman” t-shirt and a Women’s March pink hat.

“It’s my little princess!” Roseanne begins as her character hugs her black granddaughter.

“Or senator, or doctor, or captain of industry, because girls can be whatever they want to be,” Jackie corrects her confrontationally.

“I want to train cats to bark,” the little girl fires back.

“Good, I think it’s cool,” Roseanne replies. “Aunt Jackie thinks every girl should grow up and be president, even if they’re a liar, liar pantsuit on fire.”

When Roseanne asks her family to pray before they eat, she asks “Jackie, would you like to take a knee?”

Roseanne then prays for the safety of American soldiers before saying, “Most of all, Lord, thank you for making American great again!”

Over 18 million people watched Roseanne’s premiere on Tuesday, making it the “highest-rated sitcom broadcast in over three years,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. Perhaps, fans of the show were eager to tune into a show that was more conservative leaning or was simply curious to see how Roseanne would portray a Trump supporter.
