Every new mom thinks her little baby is special, but one mother knows for sure that there is absolutely no other child like her little girl!

Florida-native Chrissy Corbitt was already a mother of three when she got pregnant with her last child. Given her precious experiences being pregnant, Chrissy had the sense from the beginning that her new baby was very big, but even she never thought the girl would be this huge!

Chrissy’s first three children had all been above the average sizes of newborn babies, with each of them coming in at around 9 or 10 pounds compared to the average American newborn, which weighs 7.5 pounds. However, Chrissy’s fourth baby blew her siblings out of the water, and even the mother was stunned when she first laid eyes on her!

Carleigh Brooke Corbitt was born weighing a staggering 13 pounds, 5 ounces, making her nearly twice the size of the average newborn baby! Chrissy was in complete shock when she saw what had just come out of her after the delivery!

“When the pediatrician showed her to me across the curtain, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, she’s huge,’” the new mom told Inside Edition. “I couldn’t believe it. It was like I delivered a toddler.”

Carleigh was so big that everyone in the delivery room gave Chrissy a huge round of applause when she was finally able to deliver her!

“I heard everybody cheering in the operating room,” Chrissy recalled. “I’ve never had that happen before.”

Carleigh was so big that she couldn’t fit into any of the baby clothes and diapers Chrissy and her husband Larry had picked out for her, so they made a selfless decision to use these items to help others who are in need.

“All the stuff we bought leading up to her being born, we just donated to a local church,” Larry Corbitt said.

After her birth, Carleigh continued to grow rapidly. By the time she was 3 weeks old, she was already fitting into clothing that was designed for 9 month-old babies! Aside from her weight, however, Carleigh is a completely normal and healthy baby girl.

“She’s just a happy baby, she smiles all the time,” Chrissy observed. “I can’t get enough of her.”

Larry and Chrissy have both decided that Carleigh will be their last baby.

“We went out with a bang,” said Larry. “This is our last kid. My wife had her tubes tied, so this is going to be it for us.”
