Dogs and cats are typically thought of as adversaries in the animal kingdom, so when a baby puppy was placed with a litter of kittens, everyone initially feared the worst. However, what happened next proves that dogs and cats really can get along after all!

Bobby is a little chihuahua who was only a few days old when his mother was killed after being hit by a car in Detroit. Bobby needed to be placed with a mother as soon as possible so that he could be nursed, and his new mother figure ended up being a cat named Gwen.

Bobby and Gwen took to each other immediately, and he got along with her kittens famously as well! The video below shows Bobby nuzzling up to his new mom and playing with his new siblings. It looks like little Bobby could not be any happier.

In the five weeks since Bobby was placed with Gwen, he has grown up quite a bit, and workers at the Michigan Humane Society say he is on track to be a healthy adult dog!

This video shows that just because two creatures are different species, it does not mean they can’t get along and help each other. God bless Gwen for helping this little orphaned puppy when he needed love most!
