Legendary television host Kathie Lee Gifford is known for her outspoken and outgoing nature.

However, when she lost both her husband of 29 years Frank Gifford and her mother Joan Epstein within a short time period, Gifford went silent and withdrew from the public more than she ever had before.

Now, Gifford is back and finally ready to speak out about what has gotten her through this difficult period of her life.

As many of us suspected, it was Gifford’s faith in God that helped her move forward after these tragic deaths.

In an emotional new interview, Gifford opened up about her innermost thoughts on losing loved ones, loneliness, and faith.

She recounted the horrifying moment she found her husband dead in August of 2015.

Instead of letting grief overcome her, however, Gifford thought about the fact that her husband is now in Heaven.

“On a beautiful Sunday morning, I found my husband passed on to Heaven… He saw Jesus and Jesus took his breath away,” she said.

Gifford turned to her mother for support after her husband’s death, but just two years later, her mother passed away as well.

With her two children living far away, Gifford felt more lonely at this point than she ever had before.

“My biggest struggle at this point of my life is loneliness,” she recounted. “I’ve lost my parents, my husband is gone now and my children live far away from me. I still live in the same big house where we made a gazillion million memories. And there are times when I am overwhelmed by loneliness.”

Thankfully, Gifford realized that she was never actually alone, as God was always right by her side.

Gifford explained that thanks to God’s love, she was able to overcome the deaths of those closest to her, as she knows they are in a better place now.

God bless Kathie Lee Gifford for opening up about her faith in this amazing interview! Please send some prayers her way!
