Jenni and Guy had been waiting for months for their beautiful Palomino mare Daisy to give birth to her little foal. However, when she finally did, something happened immediately afterwards that shocked and thrilled the owners.

Daisy’s due date came and went, and Jenni and Guy began to wonder when she would finally go into labor. Seven long days after her due date, Daisy finally started to show birthing signs, and her owners stayed at her side waiting to assist her.

A few hours later, Daisy gave birth to a gorgeous foal that Jenni and Guy noticed was quite large for a baby horse. The owners were marveling at how beautiful the foal was when Daisy began delivering the afterbirth. Suddenly, Jenni and Guy looked over and saw something they never expected: Daisy was giving birth to a second foal!

Yes, unbeknownst to Jenni and Guy, Daisy was carrying twins!

Twins are extremely rare for horses, as one of the foals typically dies during or before birth. Jenni and Guy did everything they could to help Daisy so that her foal would survive, and sure enough, their efforts paid off! Minutes later, the second foal was standing up and breathing all by himself!

Today, the twins are both healthy horses and Daisy has fully recovered from giving birth to them. We’re so glad that Daisy’s story had such a happy ending!
